Black Walnut, also known as Walnut or American Walnut, is one of the finest North American lumber species. Along with Mahogany and Cherry, Walnut set the standard for early American furniture. No two pieces of burl will be alike, even though they may be the same species, the pieces can vary greatly in appearance. Walnut burl is most often used for pieces that will show off the remarkable grain and patterns.
